Following Two-Step Directions Heard

Procedure

  1. Motivation

Ask the Pupils:         Have you been lost? What did you do? Were you able to follow directions? What happened when you followed the given directions?

  1. Development of the Lesson
  1. Presentation

Let the children listen to the teacher’s instructions.  Let them follow the instructions given.

  1. Stand. Put your hands at your side.
  2. Face your seatmate. Say, “How do you do?”
  3. Shake hands with your seatmate. Say, “I’m fine thank you.”
  4. Sit down, raise your hands and wave them.

Ask the pupils:   
 
Did you enjoy the game? How many directions were given? Were you able to follow them correctly? Choose a leader, let her give two-step directions to be followed by the class.
 
Ask:    

Why should we follow directions properly? 

  1. Values Integration
A stranger approaches you and asks you to show the way to the plaza. What will you do or what will you tell him/her to do?

  1. Generalization 
Lead the pupils to tell that:

Directions are guides.

Once followed properly, they yield positive results.
